I started writing as a summer intern for a music website in 2016. Seven years, hundreds of articles, several patient editors, and one Master’s degree later, it’s safe to say the writing thing stuck.
Below are some of the highlights from over the years.

Master’s Thesis
Riders of Lavender and Dust: Queering the Cowboy for the 21st Century
For my Master’s Thesis at Columbia, I explored the history and evolution of queer cowboy culture from the vantage points of two subjects: Experimental theater group Pioneers Go East, and the queer country music scene in Brooklyn.
Needless to say, this thing was a doozy — six months, 50-something hours of interviews, and a five-figure word count to be more specific. But to this day, it’s the most rewarding story I’ve ever worked on. I’m so thankful to everyone who spoke with me and trusted me to get their story right. I sure hope I did that.
